The nearest is 'mom' maybe - the short version like 'bro' ('brother').
But the worst thing - unlike 'mom' it's not standalone cause used only in the message addressed to mother:

exactly..

you cant say "My mom is a teacher" or "My mom loves strawberry ice cream" etc in Russian using "мам" instead of "мама"..

it can be only used like Purplez pointed out - direct address to your mother.. nowhere close in usage to "mom", "mum" or "mother/мама"

so your translation is far from being correct and is misleading which is not a good practice when selling IDNs i believe
