Mail forwarding service address in Whois?

Do you know if I can use the address provided by a mail forwarding service like USA2ME.com, Shipito.com or another one in the domain name Whois? Will that violate the related ICAAN rules? If anyone is already using this approach, how are such services reliable and convenient from the point of "just mail" usage?

Thanks!

Well I have never seen such thing before but I think it will somehow violate the WHOIS rules because these addresses are used by many people. They just add your name and keeps the address same.
I can't say much about it. Better you should contact your registrar or these sites like vpost, etc.

There are many registrars that provide free privacy protection like namecheap.

Thanks a lot for your reply. However, doesn't privacy protection service provide the single address used by many people as well? So what's the difference? And there are some reasons not to use privacy protection from my point of view: costs unreasonably high at some registrars and looks unprofessional for business.

I initially assume that the main aim of the address in Whois is to allow contacting you via snail mail, though I can be mistaken.

I just thought that many people here could have business abroad and thus use some similar sort of address representing their business locally in that country, and use it in domain Whois as well for consistency.

If someone else is also interested in this question, I've contacted my registrar per advice of Robin. They confirmed that it's OK to use a mail forwarding service address in Whois as long as they can reach you this way.

Then you have got the answer. Registrar has more information than we do. Just make sure it reaches you :)

Yep :) I hope those services are reliable enough.
