Lots of business ideas and fantastic business & brandable names are available for hand-reg will i be able to sell it?
Short answer:
unlikely.
If you are referring to pure, invented names, as opposed to brandables made up of English language words, then short answer is:
highly unlikely!
There is a good reason why brandables are usually priced at $x,xxx. Brandables are a numbers game. You need hundreds of names to stand a chance of selling more than one of them in any given year. Use 1% as a rule of thumb sell through rate. With time, this may improve to 3% to 5% as you gain experience. Or not.
If you are very confident, suggest you register, say 10 of those fantastic names and try to get them listed with BB and BP, see if any get accepted and at what pricing level. This will be a good indicator on how great they really are.
This is not to say these are the best options to market your brandables and that they will sell or that the names refused by BB and BP will not sell. But a second opinion of people who specialize in marketing and selling brandables for a living should give you some valuable insight, perspective
Not to mention giving you a working knowledge of key brandable marketplaces. Not saying they are your best bet of selling your brandables, but BB and BP (and others) are an important part of learning about this difficult (probably most difficult!) domain market segment.
Namebio is a good source of info and insight, but only with respect to brandables made up of English words or English words with an invented suffix. With pure, invented brandables, BB or BP are your best bet of a second opinion of their viability.
