I'm looking for a CMS for a new site, and there's one feature I'm having trouble finding. Beyond the obvious that I need to create many pages that utilize the same template, and be able to edit titles, meta/data, content per page, I also want to be able to create a single page and have a unique username/password to allow someone to edit content on just that page. I'll need to be able to create name of these pages, each with a separate username/password. And I have to be able to create these pages in various subfolders.

Anyone know of a CMS that can do that?

Thanks,
Dan

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.

www.PmWiki.com works well as a single or multiple author CMS. You can create username/password and limit specific authors to a particular page or section. See http://pmwiki.com/wiki/Cookbook/AuthUser or UserAuth for more details.

I've given up on open wikis as they are just spam magnets.
The author/username backend & the backend generally isn't pretty but it works. There is a learning curve but PmWiki is easy to install, uses flat files not mySql, and can be SEO'd with page titles, metatags etc...

Hi Dan,

From what I understand you should check out Drupal.

You can set access settings for users and only let them edit specific pages that you choose for them.

I've tried Drupal, but looking for something easier. For this project I'm probably going to go with Page Publisher (check hotscripts). Thanks for the suggestion though.

Thanks, I may take you up on that.

I tried Drupal and liked some of what it offered. Some issues I had were no WYSIWYG editor, and it seemed like upgrading would be difficult when you start adding modules.
