Hey everyone, I have a couple buddies of mine that need website for small business, but I am looking for a CMS that is simple and clean. Really just being able to change header and colors of the sites. I kinda wanted to keep it in a CMS based site so the users can login and make changes without contacting me all the time. any suggestions would be great

thanks
Jay

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.

Depends on the business and what users will be doing there.

just static websites with 4 to 5 pages, just your average informational website about the businesses like landscaping or irrigation, I have been playing with Concrete5 and it seems alright so far.

I would reccomend Expression Engine.

If you want more user interaction you can go with Joomla...it has some pretty nice expressions

Wordpress if you are going to update the site often. The beauty of wordpress is its free & you will get a plugin for almost any job you want to do.

I use for all my community sites RavenNuke (tm) because its one of the securest CMS.
For a beginner maybe not simple but its well documented and a Wiki is also available.

Try GetSimple CMS v 2.01

It's easy to use, has a nice theme (and if you don't like it you can code easely your own one) and it doesn't require a database!

Give it a try, it's free
