Hello all,

I decided to make a start with buying domain names a few weeks ago.

My wife started her own business around a year ago and with my background in marketing I came up with the business name for her, and a lot of her customers now comment that they chose her over competitors based on the strength of the name. That made me think about going down the domainer route.

I have been reading this forum as well as many other resources for around 6 weeks now. I didn't want to jump straight into it and make purchases I would regret.

This weekend I made my first purchase after deliberating over many hundreds of potential names. I'd like some honest feedback as to whether I'm heading in the right direction with it.

The domain is pharmabrief.com

It was a handreg. I don't have thousands to invest so I'm trying to find domains below $50 which might fetch 3 figures.

Here's my logic:

- 'Pharma' is an in-demand prefix which sells well
- I had a couple of potential buyers in mind already - a pharma company which uses the term for one of their reports, and an Indian company which has registered an app under the same name
- My gut feeling told me this is a usable name - I imagine it to be a site reporting on updates in the pharmaceutical industry

I would really appreciate some honest opinions on this - am I heading in the right direction here or do I need more time to really get a feel for what makes a valuable domain name?

Thanks.
