what? LLLL.coms

Hey,

I'm just new here and learning about how domain names can be powerfull and interesting.
Now year ago I bought my first domain name and Im quite proud about mine (cgedits.com ---> computer graphics). But when I start to read some posts here, i got totally confused. In one of the posts was for example:

UUOU.com
No Reserve!

Up for sale is one of the rarest LLLL.coms out there.

Only 625 LLLL.coms have 4 true vowels (A,E,I,O,U).
Only 2600 LLLL.coms have a triple letter (3 U's in this case)
Only 80 LLLL.coms have 4 true vowels and a triple letter, such as UUOU.com

this went up to 400$ !? The domain itself doesnt even represent a name, function or object. Its just UUOU . How come it's value is high?

If someone could explain me a bit more

these names are very hot today and that one is a VVVV (vowel-vowel-vowel-vowel)... the LLLL hot today are just dot com and besides this niche in LLLL.com there are other such as CVCV (consonant-vowel-consonant-vowel, the best niche), VCVC (vowel- consonant-vowel-consonant), VCCV, CVVC (good one) and the premium letters (A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I, L, M, N, O, P, R, S and T) where LLLL with 4 premiumn letters are being sold between $200-$300 but there are discussions about what are premium letters and what are not

I get the same question "Why would someone want that" Its very simple. Scarcity. And if people cant have it, they then tend to want it more. As for LLLL.com if you own zizo.com no one else in the world can own it but you! (True for all names, But im just saying that LLLL.com are all regged out so they are worth even more.)
