This domaining sector offers potentially larger returns than traditional revenue or traffic based domain names, however with this investment opportunity comes extravagant risk.

Internet isn't just companies. And .net is very good extension. I sold my АPNL.nеt for 450$ to the customer who seems not to purchase АPNL.cоm for 4950$. Since I paid just 5$ for it I have nice ROI.

expensive dot coms will persuade small companies and organizations to buy LLLL.net instead of LLLL.com. If you are domainer you can afford buying LLL.com for 20k but if you are small company you can't afford to buy it for 20k. And expensive LLL.coms made an end-user market for LLL.net and LLL.org. The same will be with LLLL.coms. The history is always repeating.

Agreed! :)

In any case Lorenzo, it is in our best interests to promote the LLLL.net market because the more that are registered the more impact it will have on the LLLL.com market. They are very closely interlinked! You sound a little like the people in 2004-2005 saying that no one will ever pay $25 for an anti-premium LLLL.com - they do now. What is stopping LLLL.net's increasing in value if a buyout occurs and follows suit?

I respect everyones opinions but remember that to promote the LLLL.net market is to increase and inflate the LLLL.com market which for us LLLL.com investors is all good in my book ;) :)

I do believe good llll nets will prove a good investment in time but only time will tell

We do not talk about all LLLL.net!!!! All LLLL.nets will be purchased in 3-5 years or maybe never, who knows. We are talking about premium LLLL.nets. Currently only 15k out of 80k is available and the process is already started. When only 5k will be left vacuum will eat them. This can happen in 4-5 months IMHO. LLL.com minimum price - 6.5k LLL.net is 10% of this price. When all premium LLLL.net will be bought out they will be also just 10% of premium LLLL.coms. What will be the price of premium LLLL.coms in 4-5 months?

I'm seriously thinking about buying 1k quad premium LLLL.nets in about 6 months time... I still think there are better investments out there at present (LLLL.coms), but do think that LLLL.nets will have some catching up to do if LLLL.coms continue to appreciate at the pace we're still seeing.

If premium LLLL.com will be 1000$ at reseller market do you think premium LLLL.net will not be able to catch at least 20$? It's possible + they are end-user sales friendly.

I checked all the premium LLLL.net's yesterday, no names starting with 'a' are available any more and they are all slowly getting picked up :)
I'm pretty sure they'll be gone by the end of year, but I wouldn't expect a really high roi like with .com's
