New Member Disclaimer: Four letter domain names are a relatively new investment category that is only beginning to gain traction in Dotcom. This domaining sector offers potentially larger returns than traditional revenue or traffic based domain names, however with this investment opportunity comes extravagant risk.

It was only a matter of time... First King Com. Then .CN fell. And now... I present to you LLLL.net :!:

This thread is designed to elicit discussion about LLLL.nets. You're encouraged to post anything you feel is relevant to LLLL.nets in this thread. This includes sales information, new regs, ...

LLLL.Net are NOT going to be profitable for a long long time, they will perhaps be a net money loser imo.

New Domainers should stay away from LLLL.Net imo.

Depends on which LLLL.nets... CVCV.nets are already profitable. I'm doing a VCVC scan right now and can't seem to find much of anything...

I do think some quad premium .nets are an investment worth their risk. And it seems I'm not alone as some of the names I've posted have bitten the dust :)

3. ^ Whats message behind such unqualified comments ?

1. Had idea about this thread, but haven't time to do scan

2. Why everytime comes to some anti-hype in (like) this threads
No-one told that they are $ xxx.xxx worth, but there are allways some members of DNHG (Dot Net Hater Group) which thinks, they should fight against .NET ? To save .COM ? or tell that only .COM have value ?

4. Nice thread Reece :great:

5. And would be more nicer if we can stay just on CountDown or CountUp of LLLL.NET , just to have stats !

just my 2cents

OK, I spoke from my experience. It is very easy to register tons of domains but come renewal time....its not that much fun any more.

Some .net especially the pronounceable ones will be profitable but I don't see the others becoming profitable soon.

If you understand your investment and have some risk money, then you can go for it :)

Don't all these threads start out this way? Here's how I believe it will play out. LLLL's will start getting $50-$100 a piece, then the VCVC, CVCV, CVVC and VCCV's .NET's will all get registered. After that, there will be another long time period for the dwindling down of the available choice letters; until one day we find ourselves realizing they're all gone.

So ummmm, who wants to start naming a sell out date?

^ CVCV.NET are sold out ....

i would tell 05.12.2008

(still not sure about that i would never buy ZQVJ.net .. but i would never buy ZQVJ.com too)

You are creating your own hype.

Isn't that marketing 101?

Besides, CVCV.net has been sold out for months. If this thread was created 6 months ago, more members might be cashing in nicely right now.

Some nice ones from Reece's list:

IRIH.NET
IRAV.NET
ARUV.NET
ATUD.NET
EBUC.NET
EBUP.NET
ECUG.NET
UPOB.NET
UPUM.NET
UPUQ.NET
OKOC.NET
OHEH.NET

Some are all premium and VCVC's. However, I will miss them.

PS: Reece, you forgot to "officialize" the thread. It should be the Official LLLL.net countdown :)

I'm only interested in the pronouceable premiums and the .nets of my existing LLLL.com domains. I'm experimenting with auctions of a few llll.net such as baph.net at Namepros Auctions now. Doing it mainly out of curiousity.

OK, I bought these 5 for Ha Ha's. There are a ton of nice LLLL.nets, and people go looking for .net after they can't buy the .com. I got a feeling this list wont last long, I bet it's done before February; and I'll be digging in there for more.

oh dear lord ... here we go again ... 53 (now 54) posts in the less than 10 hours since that maniac Reece had to go and let this cat out of the bag.

Reece - if you're not recommending regging (for instance) ZVQJ . net (not quite yet anyway) :) ... then ... why ... is ... this ... thread ... a ... freaking ... count ... down ???

and I thought I was nuts with my anti-premium dot com critters. But this is just a bit ... mind-boggling ... got ... to ... pace ... ourselves ... dammit !

HEY FELLLLAS - WAIT FOR MEEEE ...!!!

(and yes I am going to bag a few of the ugliest first before someone else gets that "bright" idea ...)

how much are Monte and Bob paying you to foist this latest heap of madness on us ?????

but, seriously folks ... good quality LLLL.net == great idea for a long term play.
Buyout of the dregs anytime soon == sheer madness. Seems like one of those classic "I wasn't wrong, just early" moves that stock market players will sometimes be heard muttering as they "go off sniffing drainpipes and reciting the alphabet ..." (apologies to Bob Dylan)

but what do I know ... I'm just speculating about speculation at this point. Just wondering, how much money is going have to come into the LLLL market(s) each year just to pay renewal fees ? I guess each of us has to answer that question for ourselves - and then take a long hard look at everyone else who might end up dropping an anchor through the poopdeck once this latest ship of fools is well out to sea ...

... ah, whatever. Carry on. :)

Maybe we should get the title changed to LLLL.net Premium Countdown -- because I do think they'll be gone in the not too distant future :imho:

I'm heading off to bed... Catch up with you guys tomorrow and hopefully get at least to S then

I have been keeping an eye out on some CVCV.net's but most get picked up rather quickly..I agree these aren't going to be gone for some time..Personally I am trying to tie my money up in either dropping LLLL.com's or CVCV.info's..
