New Member Disclaimer: Four letter domain names are a relatively new investment category that is only beginning to gain traction in Dotcom. This domaining sector offers potentially larger returns than traditional revenue or traffic based domain names, however with this investment opportunity comes extravagant risk.

It was only a matter of time... First King Com. Then .CN fell. And now... I present to you LLLL.net :!:

This thread is designed to elicit discussion about LLLL.nets. You're encouraged to post anything you feel is relevant to LLLL.nets in this thread. This includes sales information, new regs, ...

Feb 05, 2008: All quad premium LLLL.nets are registered

I think only premium LLLL.net will be sold out. All LLLL.net will never be sold out unless China will produce thousands of end users eager to pay 10xRegFee for any name that has not more than four letters :)

That's a consonant, consonant, consonant, consonant ( CCCC.net ).
Sometimes those will be referred to as ABAB domains just to show the alternating pattern.

skylineleong: there are still some better LLLL.net's like vcvc.net's,
that random / repeating letters dont have value (i think same about .com's)
It would be better investment to go and register some vcvc net's

CVCV.nets are already profitable. [...]
I have 15 CVCV.nets (about half using Y as a vowel, the other half not), but the last time I posted them (in the $19-$29 range, I think), I got very little interest. Has their value picked up in the last month or so?

(Also have 28 VCVC.net's without a Y. Have their sales picked up?)

I'd be interested to see how many VCVC.net's have been taken since reece made his list. Maybe once a month? I know it takes work, and I'm sorry to suggest more things on your plate; but it would be interesting to see if the numbers are changing.

I am not sure about that. I ran a scan of AABB and ABAB .net anti-premiums that include Q - if the dregs are gone then fair to assume the lot of them are gone.

All Gone.

There are not a lot of those domains, and you don't hear about them, but two-of-a-kind have their fans. Interpert this as you wish, I would prefer premium pronouncables.

There are around 11.8 million LLLLL.com's.

There are 456976 LLLL.net's. Someone has said before that about 50% of these are registered. My bet would be on the next ~22300 LLLL.net's to be fully registered first.

Imagine all the terrible LLLLL.coms. There were thousands of LLLL's, there will be millions in LLLLL. (qxzvu.com :))

I won SPIW .net on eBay by mistake a few weeks ago. Thought I was bidding on a dot com ... (just $9 so no biggie, I bought it anyway.)

About 7 years ago I regged over 500 --MD.net (all still available out of the 676 possible) when NetSol was running a "90 day free trial then pay us $30 to keep it" promotion. They sent me a fat envelope for each and every reg, several times over ... first a "welcome package" ... then an invoice. Then an expiration warning. Then another. I got literally over a ton of mail from NetSol, most of which I didn't even bother to pick up from the post office after the first several duffel bags piled up in my living room. (I had regged a bunch more than just the --MD.net critters ...).

I ended up letting them all drop after the 90 days ... didn't even think about regging any more LLLL in any extension for many years ... Or anything at all, really - had enough "domaining" from that little fiasco to last me quite some time. (OVER A TON OF MAIL FROM NETSOL!!!)

"I wasn't wrong, just early!"

Any --MD.nets still out there ? Go for it! I'll have to pass on that one though - been there, done that. Good luck with it!
