In relation to the following thread:LLLL.com Countdown

No more 4 Letter Domains are available for registration!

There are still regular drops but they are going so fast that most of those who want them cant get to them in time.

Thank you everyone who participated in the LLLL.com countdown thread!

Special Thanks to Steve (3par) who through DYYO.com brought some stability to the stats to make the thread a lot more interesting and less debating on the stats.

There are so many others who I could thank.]

The last 2 weeks were very exciting! It was fun but I am glad it is over!

It was very exciting and surprising how quickly the end came! I was thinking maybe in December but the momentum was like a tornado at the end! It came suddenly and wiped them out! It was BOOM! And thanks VURG and all who had faith from the start; I hope we all do well with them.

It Was Fun While It Lasted!

I enjoyed eating up all the four letter domains. Thanks to VURG's thread, it really opened my eyes as to what was available for LLLL's before they were all taken. I really liked providing lists, scanning & noticing a handful gone by the minute! Towards the end, hundreds were being registered by the hour. Before I knew it, all were taken! Sweet, years from now... Everyone's going to be thinking... You were able to hand reg a LLLL.com? Next steps will be to catch drops & buildup our portfolios of LLLL.com's

Peace

One thing

I'm only worried about one thing. If someone has thousands of LLLL.com expiring on the same day it might flood the market again. Don't think it'll happen but...

Put in the 50th digg. I thought it would take at least until 2007 was out for LLLL.com to get bought out. I had my doubts too if the lower quality combinations would be taken at the end.

If this gets on the front page of Digg, the awareness is all the better for all of us holding any LLLL.com's, so please Digg!
One thing I've been thinking of though .. Non-domainers however might not realize why this is important at all and why random LLLL domains can be valuable (something which is debated within the domainer community itself). I think it would've been better if the Digg article linked to a post explaining LLLL.com's and domaining.

I only have one LLLL.com in my bag, OCQA.com which I think is a fair quality combination. I'm sure happy I didn't let go of it before now.

NOW what will decide if LLLL.coms are viable is if people are just in for the quick flip and if many drop or not at the end of the first year.

to me, it seems the process took forever though. I thought it was going to be bought out long time ago (even though my predication was next year).

I have dugg the article:)

It actually took longer than I thought it would. I first thought they would all be sold out around July 07' but I was wrong.

It's nice that they are finally all sold out. Now the people can go about fine-tuneing their portfolios and investing in the better combinations.

One thing to consider is that ~85% of these domains were either renewed or picked up after dropping in the last 12 months. I don't expect that there will be any huge drops that will leave 5000+ available in a rush.

There was about 10 peoples that reg'd the last 100 Available names including me :)

I reg'd about 150 of the last 300 LLLL.COM

There were three claimants for the last reg. There may have been a drop or two happening at about that time which made the last reg a little hard to decide.

IMHO drops should not be counted.

If you want the full story, as it happened, read the LLLL countdown thread - the buyout ended on page 99(!) but go back some pages to get the feel.

VURG, we missed you!

I read through the pages. Thanks.

I was probably asleep. I have two children under 3. I couldn't wait up.
