Had an offer last week on one of my LLL.us, am in need of a bit of money so i didnt counter a ridiculous price but it certainly was alot more than reseller pricing. (this was after a quick check to see if there were any obvious end users for it, couldnt find any, but im sure it will turn out to be a massive company, sods law)

and just logged into my sedo account now to see the offer has been accepted, bit gutted now i didnt counter higher but its a solid sale on a name i probably would have sold at reseller prices at some point anyways (i'll reveal the name when the money is in the bank, might make it onto the sedo frontpage if im lucky aswell)

anyone else that holds LLL.us names seeing an increased interest in traffic and bids?

Congrats Matt. That is great news for the .us industry. I'm looking to sell two premium LLL.us right now: DOS.us and CSI.us.

those are absolutely awesome names!!

are you actively marketing them to end users then? i wouldnt even comtemplate selling them unless it was at end user pricing

Thanks Matt, I'm looking in the x,xxx range for either of them, which I believe is reasonable.

Don't kick yourself Matt! Those of us that have been in this game for a while hate it when we feal like we settled for less than market. But we have to look back on the sales that we know we got over on and just thinking that things averaged out. I sat on a stem cell domain for 3 years waiting for a end user and turning down good reseller prices. What happens? I get a offer, don't check out the buyer, sell at reseller prices and it is a end user. :'( :'( :'(

congrats on your sale though

Look at it this way, when we look back at domains sold a year or two ago and think "Damn, I really undersold that one!" then you probably didn't, it was probably a good price at the time and because the domain market is doing so well it seems cheap now. When we look back and think "Sure am glad I sold at the top", then things won't be going so well....

End user sales are great for US (no pun intended, well, maybe a little).

A true end user will not only pay more, but the chances of them developing and using the site are so much higher, which gets .US additional mindshare with the site's users. At this point it's all about mindshare, the extension either gains it and value increases, or it doesn't.

Congrats on the sale, will help a little getting that flat! :)

you might see the price on sedo, its not a huge price because i was in selling mood and didnt counter too high

its still in the $xxx range but alot more than reseller, as i had it priced up at $1xx when i was going to sell it on here

i got it on a GD backorder so the profit margin was pretty good

I was just speaking with another person who said his company recently sold a LLL.us to an end user for $2,500, but the sale was subject to a NDA.

nice sale. Dont beat yourself up about it, its the nature of the beast. domain stock is rising rapidly on all fronts.

I sold a single word generic .com domain for $10k about 18months ago and I see in the press hes just sold it for $120k..

I too just had an LLL.us sale for lower $x,xxx.

I can't disclose the domain, but yet another positive example of the growing strength of LLL.us on the end-user side.

Thanks,
:) zesty
