NRF.NET $601 today on NameJet.

Seems Buydomains let it drop (or sent it to auction on NameJet using some other obscure method)

i think we are going on for another price contraction.

I see your point Jay, but that is part of the rationalization process.

people get irrational and make irrational decisions - even when they think they base their decisions in facts. and after the "fact" the rest of us try to rationalize it. and we do it according to the mass sentiment of the moment.

one of the often misleading facts is google exact searches. you see "ghee, so many searches for this term, it must get good traffic!". then you get the domain in an extension not .com and many times the exact searches are way, way off. Even when you get the .com version they are many times way off the expected traffic.

I can be wrong, and the guy that picked it - let's see first if he pays. I have two "guys" that after 2 months didn't yet pay for the domains but they keep bidding on NameJet, so I expect everything - can flip it for bigger prices.

But honestly, does anyone believe that the risk assumed pays it? and if it takes some years to find the right buyer, will those google SERPs and Exact Searches metrics do any good on parking/mini-site revenue?

tonecas

tonecas, not really pointing out google serps in this regard but the main search shows a vital debugging software with the exact same name and quite a few organistaions who would be interested in acquiring that particular acronym for themselves..

I know, no xxxx or xx,xxx is rational for non-generic domain names, however we tend to forget that ppl dont really mind coughing up some dough for the domain name they think would be relevant for their business or even for their prospective venture..
