For me, it's pretty funny starting out in domaining (just for fun) and seeing how the community acts.
You come up with bold, subjectively good ideas, and then others start copying you.
It's just fun to sit and watch how "whales" are registering variants of an original idea.
"Oh, I missed that, so let's register the '-ing' form.""Oh, I missed that, let's register the other *.TLD form."
Is every second domainer a soulless entity that can't come up with their own ideas?
I could understand copying if you were also improving on the idea. But copying with no improvement? Why?
