Ok, one is still being worked on and you will have to wait another day or two to learn about it, but the other some of you may have run across: www.fyi.tv
We want to cover what is going on in the .tv land and Internet Video, so if you launch a new .tv website or Internet TV site, send us your press release. If you sell/buy a .tv domain, let us know. If hear a .tv rumor, let us know.
In a few weeks, we hope to feature interviews with .tv entrepreneurs, articles that define one of multiple ways to get your own .tv website off the ground, and anything else related to .tv.
This is not a first for me. Check out www.hspn.tv. That was the first site of many to come. As I mentioned in my opening statements, we should have that other .tv site done very soon. Actually, the deadline is Monday afternoon, but it could be released early. Then we have another that will be rolled out shortly after that.
Also, keep an eye on www.powertvonline.com. They will be launching in November. From what I have learned, I expect that they will try to position themselves to be the YouTube of the automotive world and have good reason to believe they may actually pull it off successfully. Besides having the right contacts, I think they understand how they can help individual companies create their own TV stations. What is different about PowerTV is the fact that it will feature user generated content as well as professional content.
You might not find that interesting, but consider this. There is a dearth of professional content creators out there. This theme continues to resonate out there in the market place as new content distributors pop up everywhere as the Internet and TV converge. If I had to put my money on it, I would put it into starting a company that creates professional content. Those companies will eventually develop their own .tv sites, if they are not created for that sole purpose in the beginning. I see them as being the HBOs of the Internet. That is just what I think, it is not fact...not yet at least.
That is just my two cents for now.
