Landing pages or mini-blogs for my domains?

Here is the dilemma: for my domains, should I use landing pages or mini-blogs?

On the one hand, landing pages are free (at least with my registrar). However, they allow for little freedom of what you can put on them, which is a major limitation.

In case I decided to go with mini-blogs, I would only use the homepage of each website (because I have little to no content to put in), so it would just be the 'stub' of a website, not a full-fledged website.

I was thinking of self-hosted blogging solutions, because they give you the freedom of using tools such as Google Adsense without violating any terms of service.
But of course, self-hosting comes at a price.

So, what to you advise?

Can you recommend a cheap hosting service which allows for unlimited domains?

People will have varying opinions on this but I think it boils down to your skill level and how much money and time you want to invest.

Efty works well for me for landing pages.
