Just done the unspeakable thing . . . . I have sold 370 L-L-L.com's to BuyDomains for $20 each. :'(

If they were my names I wouldn't have sold, but I purchased these for an investor as many here would know and have been slowly selling them over the past few months. I would rather see them in fellow NP members hands but was getting far too tedious selling a couple at a time. I suppose one big advantage is that we know that's another 370 of these that'll be locked away and not sold for less than $1,000 each :p

I still have my 265 L-L-L.com's (which are much better quality than the ones I have sold) and will not be selling these at reseller prices (unless I am forced to in the future).

:o  At least BuyDomains will have a tonne of L-L-L.coms to drive up prices. The more L-L-L.coms out there with a high price tag the more people will realize the value.

I was once told by a successful business man. If you try to ask too little for a product people will think it is not quality and wont buy. If you ask high people will buy more of that because there is desirability and worth associated with the product.

At least this the solid symptom that L-L-L.com have great reseller and end-user potential in future. I think BuyDomains is a big player and has more experience than we. First year on L-L-L.com aftermarket is a year of portfolios re-distribution. The same as in LLLL.coms

You didn't tell them that you are referred by mellowmasher and minimum price per domain is $30 (paid to mellowmasher) and $25 per domain for bulk sale? Still it was a profit of at least $11 per domain (assuming hand regs) - 11x370=4070

Well, at least it locks them away without lowering the resale value by selling them to a group that doesn't let domains expire, and doesn't sell them on the cheap, either.

Hindsight might tell you more about the timing - I'm sure a lot of folks are finally biting the bullet and approaching BuyDomains for cash flow issues - but it is nice to have that outlet available when there aren't many other resellers buying at the moment.

And if they were hand-regs, you're looking at over 100% ROI in less than a year; the IRR there isn't bad at all ;)
