For a reseller I do not think the price was a steal. If someone developing it then its a great price. For a resale I think they paid top dollar. I do not like words as much as acronyms just my opinion on L-L-L. UK Online being at U-K-O.com makes sense to me. But Fat inc being at F-A-T.com is not great IMO

I do agree with that to a degree, regarding "words" vs. "acronyms," but of course every word can be an acronym as well, and "BID" actually is the acronym for a nice number of things, plus having the additional benefit of being a memorable word.

With less than 1 month here and no itrader I'm not sure you represent someone with a lot of experience...

my port. of 500 domains is worth several figures 95%.com 5% .net, yea I have been here 1 month, and most of the domains sold on here are pretty much junk status, but in the domain market since 96, Hand reg'd most with register.com back in the day, rest have been purchased on ebay, and auctions over the years, quite a few real lll.com on ebay for $200-$500, finished univ, got a job, got on with life, parking has paid for renewal fees, plus some luxuries here, and there. Values have inflated, and the market is semi liquid for quality domains, have started selling a few.. but yea we will see, how much these junk quality hyphens are worth next year, its the same band of fools encouraging others to jump on the bandwagon hoping to get some lll.com action, won't happen. I just choose to disagree with you in hopes others won't make the same mistake. If you are buying this junk for $20 in expired auctions, maybe you will sell for $30 next year, after paying renewal, you will be up $3, to many tld's and other domains sitting parked to even think about getting into this wannabe hoop dream.

What do you base this theory on? If you look around the world of advertising you will see dashes in many types of products and services. I believe not only will the L-L-L.com values soar but they will soar beyond our imagination. It looks balanced and I think the market will see that since most of the LLL.coms are not avail, that on the flip side there are another 17 thousand plus L-L-L.coms avail for purchase. That resemble LLL.coms (heck they dont resemble! They are! Only with dashes! but same in every other way) that have the same Google searches and look exactly like the LLL.com if you search with hyphen or not and are just as memorable and brandable as the LLL.coms. Again Even with LLL.coms and L-L-L.coms together there are less then 36 thousand combinations The net is soaring to gereater and greater heights. Advertising is in the billions and is projected to soar way more in the next few years!. Lets face it this is the future. the virtual L-L-L.com real estate you buy now is the real estate of the old Las Vegas where no one believed would go anywhere. Look now, all the corporations are in on the game.

L-L-L domans will be worthless. Speculators will be speculated. worth reg fee at best, buyers of --- are ones hoping they had bought LLL and don't want to miss the boat again, Good Luck otherwise.

i have sold a L-L-L.com for $2,500 and at least 2 or 3 other members have sold thiers as well for low $x,xxx

L-L-L.com are 17,756 just like LLL.com and hyphens dont play a role; if you google SSG you can see in the first page S-S-G,com or SSG,com depending on the job made to these pages be there, do you know that?

L-L-L.com buyout was in 2007, before LLLL.com buyot and their drops will be close to zero very soon (you can say this will happen due to these regs in 2007 but thats not true as just a fraction of them were reg'd last year)

about 25% of them are developed sites, so you think they will drop?

dag said very wisely who maybe dont like hyphens are domainers, end-users dont care if there are hyphens or not, they want their name in the internet just as their names are or the acronyms
i think it is better to have your name with hyphens than with an "O" meaning online in the end
