What, if any, are the general values of a L-L-L dot com domains?

Does anyone know how much the difference in value is between a LLL.com and its L-L-L.com counterpart? I know there's no exact comparison but if the LLL.com was sold for 10k recently and would the L-L-L.com be worth about 10-30% that?

Just wondering...If anyone can clarify this for me it would be really appreciated, of if you could direct me to the right thread. I did a search and found a thread about this in April of last year and was wondering if things are different now.

right now youhave two good options for your L-L-L.com

1) sit on them and wait 2, 3 or even 5 years because now is the time for LLLL.com
2) search for potential end-users and offer your names to them... you can have $x,xxx sales, so for an end-user you can sell yours for until 30% of a LLL.com but just in this case

10-30% is way out of wack. An LLL.net is about 16-18% of an LLL.com . I would say 1%-5% on the average, minus the larger 3-5K sales that happen on a limb.

the $60 is mine and i have it set to go to $150 so bidding for all others starts at $155-60 i think but i might go higher on this one.. just have to sell a few more names to replenish the l-l-l fund

What I really don't understand is why every L-L-L is taken at Snap for a minimum of $59 (usually much more), yet when I listed an all premium L-L-L here at NP in the make offer section I received no bids!

It seems that people have completely different mentalities when buying from Snap and from forums.

i agree with that. that goes for all domains and extensions though.
you see silly prices for all sorts on snap etc . having said that a lot of big money boys haunt the forums never posting and just buying. they snap up the super premiums though only.

also, there are many people who never use forums. i have been domaining on and off since '99/2000
i only discovered forums really in 05. many hate forums. they like the anonymity of snap etc
shame as the most amazing bargains are to be had on forums.

other thing to bear in mind is if you set a realistic bin, people will buy. if it's make offers people either lowball or cant be arsed and think they will come back to later.
i think realistic bins is best way to sell. i know snap are auctions, just an anomyally :imho: :sold:

I have always believed prices you see at SNAP and now Namejet are different than sales you see at Sedo or Afternic. Min Namejet is $70 and every L-L-L.com has min 6 bidders but you will not see every L-L-L.com get a look on a forum.

The point you make about buy it now is true IMO. Unless a domain is a top quality premium domain where I can at least understand the make an offer, any other domain I just skip or click out when I see make an offer. If it is an average domain buy it now is the way to go. Again IMO
