What, if any, are the general values of a L-L-L dot com domains?

I'm pretty sure you're allowed to post whenever necessary if it's legitimately to clarify things or answer questions. They just don't want people saying, "Hey, thanks for that bid!" every time someone posts one...

i'm just working out with 25%+ as sites
another large percentage in non-domainers hands.
a bigger percentage still in domainers hands who are hoarding them and lovingly nurturing for times ahead.................
will these drops almost dry up? in the coming months

i mean bearing in mind all of the above, if we wound the clock back to day 1, there would only be 17,656 of these puppies in first place.
not like 450,000 for example like LLLL.com, so i can never see large blocks dropping imho

Def seeing interest picking up. Of course, as with all domains...there is risk. (.us, .biz. .info LLL investors know what we are talking about!).

sorry, i didn't word very well.

we already know from scans and research, 25% + approx of all L-L-L.com domains are developed.
they're out there as full on sites.
so i was deducting those. leaving 75% obviously.
then guesstimating another 25% are in private hands, non-domainers, as investments, brand protection, projects on hold, future plans etc.
i would say 50% are in domainers hands, but well spread out.
we dont really see many drops as only 17,656 in total.

i was just thinking could we see drops almost drying up or do you think there is always a supply of everything leaking out?

i mean, LLL.com have virtually stopped dropping

Exactly -- there are fewer of these dropping, and even in the past week I've seen a lot more competition going on for the drops at Snap. For example, P-A-G.com went for $135 today, with a total of 8 people in on the action from the beginning of the auction.

At a cost of $7.25 for renewal it only takes $127,426 annually to keep them all renewed.

That is nothing, anything that drops can and will be easily picked up on the drop to keep the L-L-L.com namespace bought out.

With 4400 plus developed it leaves domainers with 13,200 approx Renewals will be no problem for a growing number of domainers looking to invest in short domains (LLL,NNN,LLLL,NNNN,L-L-L,).

I won L-P-N.com today on SnapNames. Final price: $94. Well worth it IMO, since LPN is commonly used when referring to Licensed Practical Nurses. I spoke with my mother about this one before buying it, seeing as how she was a nurse for years.

I'm going to develop it rather than try to park it.

i would say out of those 'other' 13,200 approx you mention, there were only 7,800 approx availabaale when gopc started the thread. so :imho: another 5.5k approx is spread acrooss owners. some domainers but prob thousands of individual owners who plan to develop or maybe only hold a few names etc.
these are prob the ones dropping. of course , dont like to talk about but tragedy strikes occasionally also and when people leave estates its a hard enough time and outside our little world most people dont understand what we do to renew , maintain etc
so those maybe ones dropping, or accidents or just domainers housecleaning and not active forum mebers and realising the value of these puppies

nb: on a side note there was a very good thread on dnf about contingency planning for domainers and should, touch wood, tragedy strike, how to set things up for your loved ones
