OK,
At this point in the game,
all great dictionary 1 word domains are gone.
You still want a domain with YOUR specific Keyword.
What do YOU choose?

Or

Are you creative in a different way, maybe...
OnlineKeyword, or ???

As for the poll, these are 3 I am seeing more and more of lately.
Please throw your 2 cents in here!
Thx,
Red Rock!

Whoops, I hit submit without including the poll first.
LOL

I agree with you both.
But the weird thing Ive seen alot of lately is
keywords with an O at the end.
Tat makes no sense at all to me.
Its like they are trying to create a whole new language.
And the O has no meaning at all.
evirtual, great addition.
I like the V alot.
That makes more sense than an O at the end, IMO.
Thx!

That makes sense, Izy!
It just looks goofier at the end.
LOL
And Why not in the front like e, e-, i, i-, or v, v-?
O cars.com O-cars.com or carsO???
def. looks alot better in front, IMO.

Very Interesting.
I definitely prefer the "e-" with the dash, also!
It just looks....proper, or correct.
I have some of both.
More without the dash, because I thought they were valued higher, than with the "-".
So, I have the hyphenated ones only because the e was gone, on the keywords I wanted.
I dont have any real thoughts on the i (with or without the -).
The more I think about it, I guess the "i" with the dash should also be the same scenario.
So,
Worldstar, any more thoughts as to why you choose
"e-" first, but "i" without the "-"?
Just Curious.
Thx

I choose ikeyword because this style of domain are becoming more popular than ekeyword, e.g., iphone, ireport etc.

When there's a "-", e-keyword looks more balanced and beautiful than i-keyword. especially when the keyword is a long keyword, e.g., e-tickets is better than i-tickets IMMO.

Very Convincing.
I like the way you think,
That makes sense.
Thx for your thoughts!

Red_Rock,

I see no reason to grab any keyword with an O in the end. As guys suggested you'd get the "e-keyword" or "i-keyword" version depending much on the keyword but I think that "e" plays better even for the majority of keywords.

"Pretty noob question"
OK soggy, Do you really think so?
Why???
I have seen MANY of the domaining Veteran's with 1 or 2 of these variations of domains, and actually selling these domains.
So, my question is very relevant for "the present" hand reg times.
Of course we all know LLLL's are hot, but everyone doesnt have $50.00 - $1000.00 to buy these.
So people are using different techniques to buy domains with their specific keywords, but also keep them short.
And don't you think its kinda cool to hear peoples different reasonings, behind their method of new keyword reg's.
So, if its a noob question or not, you have to admit, people ARE still registering, selling, and making money.
So, I'm not sure if your comment was a slight slam or not?
I hope it doesnt offend YOUR intelligence, (the noob question).

Simply put, I am still VERY open minded to ALL directions in this trade.
Are you?
It seems like others are interested , too.

Soggy stick with me here,
I just surfed the forum and saw a thread posted by htmlindex.
It was posted on 4-13.
Pretty new, huh?
THIS is the creative registering I was looking for!
His thread is all about keywords w/the addition of "360"
in the front AND back of keywords.
The numbers are incredible.
I am not sure if I can post the link to his thread but I will,
It is a very creative and informative new way of reg-ing.
Here's the thread url..

http://www.namepros.com/domain-name-discussion/456925-the-official-360-names-thread.html

Check out Post #7, where he actually lists some previous sales.
The numbers speak for themself.
There ARE new and creative regging methods daily, and some of them actually work!
You cant deny that.
Look at some of the Veterans comments in that thread.
Seems to be New and Exciting to them, too.
As a matterof fact, If a Mod will add a Poll to this thread I will include those 2 options also.

As for the poll, I forgot to include it, before I hit "Post" on my initial post.
I dont see the option to add it, after the fact.
If you know how, please let me know,
I'd like to add abunch now...

e word
e- word
i word
i- word
v word
v- word
"online" word
word o
360 word
word 360

Thx

My preference is "iWord". I have a number of them. I have regged a few "WordO" recently. I have a few "Word360" and some nice "iiWord" keywords. I don't really like the hyphen after the prefix.

Depends totally on the word.
i e and o work well for different words.

I'm also a tad partial to u & ww prefixes too. But agree. It all depends on the word.

Wow Stub,
You just added 3 more options to "short keyword regging"!
ii
ww
u
I understand the u.
But what do the double i's stand for, and the double w's?
I assume the ww is world wide?
And have you seen any hot sales with these prefixes?
Thx Alot

ii is something I cooked up because all the i prefixes I wanted were taken :) ww is worldwide. It makes a good alternative to world, global, planet type domains. I have sold the odd u, ii, ww prefixed domains. The biggest was for $750. But they mostly go in the low hundreds (if at all).

ii= http://acronyms.thefreedictionary.com/ii. + use your imagination. (Inet Intl).

Stub,
That is incredibly creative!
Awesome!
$750 is Great $ for those prefixes, Congrats!
Thanks for sharing your cool strategy!

I asked the Mod for a Poll, and he said that would have to
be Managements decision.
Well at this point I dont think it's necessarry.

I like this as open discussion, and to see the creativity
of all of our members!
Thx!
