Hi,

I have some 5 odd keyword names which are available as of now with over 10mn results each.

Keyword.co.in and not combinations.

Is it a good idea to register them?

Will they have any value?

Or should I concentrate on Keyword1Keyword2.in domains?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Many thanks,

the time is coming for indian domain names. but honestly, .in or .co.in will have no value as long as there is insignificant number of great websites developed for .in/.co.in. many people in india even don't know .in exists (though many are aware of .co.in because of [email protected]). so i would suggest you to buy a domain with high development possibility and get it developed. in the meantime, get the good ones registered as well so that people don't take them away. within 5 yrs, i see a great demand for indian (.in/.co.in) domains.

Yes, register.
Yes, immediately on registration at least 50% markup.
No, single words are better long term.

Lmao, you really think so? Try and locate any 'valuable' keywords in .in - .co.in has some but not many. And see google.co.in yahoo.co.in airtel.in vodafone.in (hutch.in) nivea.in oneindia.in (goto oneindia.com and see) - you'll find lists of developed sites for both tlds all over NP.

I recommend you do a search on NP itself, this has been answered a few times.

In 5 yrs even .be will have value. See some reported .co.in/.in sales in the last two years - pm me for list links - can't post them here due to the non-compete rule at NP.

yeah, it's good that .in are getting developed. but unfortunately, many have their .com counterpart. it doesn't mean any good thing to .in or .co.in. it even defeats the idea of buying another domain name (same name with different extension) when you are not concerned about copy cats. .in domains will only be important when it can serve STANDALONE. no one bothers about google.in when you just need google.com. an example of when a .in domain can be of importance is buytickets.in where an online purchase of event tickets, movie tickets etc. can be provided and it shouldn't only cover india, but the whole world.

Only time will be the best judge of their value! :)

Currently, in the hand-reg phase... Lets hope I graduate to the after markets soon!

Excellent regs, very very nice.

I wouldn't be surprised if you can do 2x or 3x regfee for these immediately.

Good Luck

WOW! Thanks for the kind words mwzd! reps+

edit: Sorry, couldnt rep you - sent you an available domain via PM :)

I would have loved the .in, but I guess .co.in isn't that bad either!
