Hello, I have a site that I am trying to sell and the right offer has not come along yet.

Currently the site makes money through adsense mostly.

What would happen if I temporarily switched the nameserver and parked on SEDO for about a week and then switch back to the site so the search engines keep registering the content?

Is this idea suicide for my SEO rankings?

The site toggles between a PR4 and PR5.

My goal is just to squeeze more revenue out of it, but I dont want to get "blacklisted" or something similar for trying this.

THANKS!

Someone else may have different advice, but if you are going to sell the domain and site, I would not completely change the content (park it) for a week. You may lose some of your pages that are indexed in the search engines if they find those pages no longer exist for that long.

I would just focus on selling your site. You should try listing it here if you have not done so, and then try places like Sitepoint, Digital Point, and other webmaster forums, but most only allow you to list one place at a time.

I'd like to see what you are selling if you will PM me the info..? :)

it's a tedious task for you though it won't take long to do that, but concentrate if you want to sell right now or either develop it.

i'd have to agree with the other two and suggest that you just keep the site. you could probably make more money by selling links off of your site, rather than parking.

do not kill ready site. it is always better to develop more, rather than go back. What you are thinking to do is a step back. I don't think it is good idea.
