Just recieved 10 domain names, now what?

Hello everyone, please bear with me as I am very new to this. I am trying to learn all I can right now, so I figured I would try a direct approach of just asking for advice. I promise to continue to read past posts and educate myself.

A very good freind of mine transfered 10 domain names to me through a Go Daddy account. I created my own account at GD and I recieved the names. He also set me up an account with parked.com and all of these domains are parked there. I understand parking the domain name should give me some sort of revenue once I get clicks right? I don't visit my own domains right? I don't know what he has set up on these, and I am kind of curious.

What would you do with these new domains to capitalize on their parked potential. Is there a guide that will help me to do this?

I am also interested in purchasing more domains but my freind wants to make sure I know what I am doing with the ones I have before I just start buying names.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Yes, they should but all depends on quality of clicks I mean it can vary from cents even to dollars per click as I read on this forum.

Well I think you can visit them (not quite sure), but I'm certain that you must not click on links and ads, cause they could easily ban you without any warnings.

It all depends on quality of domains you own. Remember easy to remember domains and those that makes sense have great potential for branding or developing them.

Yes that's great tip from your friend. Learn on domains you own right now (research, experiment , get to know market and keywords that produce most revenue,...) and read, read, read. This forum has great topics to begin your domain journey .

No. You never should click on your own parked domain links. This will bring up invalid clicks and can get you removed from the system. I use Parked also and if you read the TOS the clicks can only come from type-ins or searches. No ppc or promoting the site yourself. These parking companies are smart so I wouldn't try to slip in a click.

What you can do is do a keywords research and use it for your domains or instead of parking it's sometimes better to develop.

People make money off of parking sites because their domain name is of top quality that gets type-ins alot.

welcome to namepros, and the domaining world! i think it's great that your friend has given you a little domainer starter kit and he's absolutely right that you should play with these domains before shelling out some serious money. a few tips:

- never click your own ads
- you can maximize parking revenue by playing with different keywords, templates, and even parking companies
- read read read

You can access them all you want, but if you have them parked you must not click ads that are displayed on page, cause you could get banned.
