Hi Guys -

I am new here. Currently I own 9 domains. I just started getting into this about 2 weeks ago. I am looking to "flip" domains - not make money by parking or developing.

Right now I am using United Domains and have them parked and in the marketplace at Sedo.com

What do you guys think of this approach for a newcomer? What is the best place to simply get my domains exposed? I think I have 1-2 decent domain names that could be worth something.

Thanks!
-Troy

I think you just list out the few site where we sell domain and keep eyes on newbie's and make contact through pm.

:talk:

if you want your domains exposed....then pull their panties down and let their ass show.

otherwise, no one will pay attention.

:)

for real doh, listing them on sedo is good start

using united domains isn't

go with a mainstream registrar that has free internal push and low renewal fee's.

post them for appraisal to get others opinions

imo...

Sedo is more like wait and wait. If the name is really good, you can expect some one to come. But most of my names had average waiting of more than a year.
Try the forum here if you are looking for a little over your reg fee. If the name is good, multiples of reg fee can be expected.. :)

If you want to flip domains quickly, Sedo isn't really the place to do that. Flippa would be a better choice. But by all means leave them on Sedo until they are sold. As biggie said, you can post your domains in NP's appraisals thread, to give you an idea of their values. And as for registrar, you should probably go with the biggest, GoDaddy.

forums like namepros and DNF;
domain trading platform like sedo or godaddy aftermarket
create a simple sale page on the domain you want to sell

Agreed. Try a more mainstream registrar, keep in mind prices, security, support reputation and the UI of the registrar, for the CP a good API is a must

Try selling them on DNF and NP after you acquaint yourself with what's selling these days and what you can expect, check appraisals too but mainly watch auctions like Go Daddy or Sedo. And see what people are buying/selling on forums and study prices

You may also want to try Afternic, SnapNames later. If you want to be a trader you also need to keep buying names at prices that make sense, GD has many decent listings in their vast auctions and some good names for trade aren't expensive, but you gotta make the rounds :)

Personally, IF they are only 2 weeks old, try and sell to an end user. Investors are not going to pay more than a few bucks over reg fee for a two week old domain
