Joost has been released today, google news says so but the Joost site hasn't changed, im sure google wouldnt lie though.

I will use this to set up some sort of Website and Community based around Developments (Skins and Plugins) for Joost, because im going to be active in the Joost developments anyway.

The reason i didnt see any TM issues when registering this domain is because my plans are to develop a community so large that eventually it will get some sort of support from Joost.

Anything on the site would have nothing that would go 'against' joost, the total opposite infact, and i dont think i will be using it to make any profits, so i cant really see why they would want to close it down.

Any opinions?

Anyone? Im not really looking for cash appraisals, personally they are kinda worthless because and end user could by lying anywere and willing to pay as much as he needs. I also know its not a poor domain name.

Im looking for views on it, and its development idea.

I think it’s a terrific idea, made even better by the likelihood that Youtube probably will not survive over the long haul.

I'd never heard of Joost before, so after a quick search in Google, it looks interesting and indeed better than YouTube (but whether it will turn out to be such, time will tell), but JoostDev sounds like it could go far if Joost does indeed become popular, so good luck with it

In order to protect their trademark they have to undertake actions against people/websites that infring their trademark, as far as I know. So although you JoostDev may be not be against Joost's policies you still have a chance of receiving a cease-and-desist.

However, you shouldn't take my word for it and do some research yourself. The above is based on some incidents I read over at Digg.com

I can understand if sites are adding adsense and making a profit, but this wont.

With joost they are allowing people to create and share developments, it says that on the joost site, so they have to expect some sort of website to exsist were people can share developments as joost will most likey only host developments created by thier people, but they actually state that users can create and share there own.

Personally, ive seen this done before and ive seen companys actually support the sites.

Like i said my aim is to make zero profit from this website, no adsense, no paid banners, the only banners i would list is from Joost themselves. If it ever happened to go to court, and the site was developed, im sure they would see that its just a place to share joost developments, which like i stated joost are allowing people to do.

But im going to pop them an email with my gameplan and see what they say.

i didnt understand that, alot of bad grammer in your text.

The point is, without causing a stir, i asked for views on the domain itself along with the 'idea' i will use it for. You have beaten your way around a bush trying to explain a point you made that was off topic to what i was asking.
