Coolstreaming Launches Me.TV Clone

Coolstreaming TV has announced its own meTV service, currently in private beta.
This tool set will let you create your own branded tv channel for online distribution purposes. Similar to Mogulus, you can pull content from across the web to populate your channel, and Coolstreaming has also included an option to import your own YouTube clips. Your branded player is customizable on several levels, including the skin, and supports video feeds as well. There are also a few ways to bring in a level of interactivity for your viewers; add a link to another site to your video, or sell your video clips to earn some extra cash. You can also indicate which videos are appropriate for mature audiences only, and include alerts like one that lets your viewers know that the current video is coming to an end, and what will be playing next.
There are a lot of bugs yet to be worked out with the Coolstreaming site, and the aesthetics of the site design leave a bit to be desired. The functionality options for viewers is more inclusive than most video-sharing sites that let you create channels, but there is no interaction involved amongst users, such as chat, comments or ratings.
Similar services include Joost, Kyte, Magnify and Me.TV.
