I was shocked to find this one was available. Israeli companies receive $1.5 billion dollars in venture capital annually -- more VC per capita than any other country in the world. Check out some of these sites:

What do you guys think? Am I getting a little overexcited?

maybe. Even with all that going on, the domain is still a hack. Now I am not qualified enough to put a value on it for you but in my experience domain hacks are quite difficult to assess. The few that I have had appraised did not get very good comments. So I will leave it for the more experienced members. Good Luck with it.

The proper term there would be "Israelis" or "Israelites," though you probably could find an example to express your point if you searched hard enough. I'm optimistic about this one though because it's not just a cute domain hack; israel.vc's potential target audience contains of folks who have lots of money to dish out.

Maybe I'm inquiring about this domain in the wrong place, since NamePros people are in a better position to assess reseller value than end-user value, and I have 6-7 wealthy end-user prospects in mind.

(1) End-user's valuation is notoriously difficult to estimate. Maybe that's why many here hesitate to comment because they do not want to give the wrong impression.

.vc as a 'venture capital' is far away behind i.e. .tv as television abbr. Even though 'Israel' is a prime geo-keyword, in this pair with .vc looks almost random and useless. Sorry to say, this domain is not worth a reg. fee now. Nobody knows what will be after some years if you keep it!?

Hi Joshua,

If your just starting out new in domaining I would suggest you stick only to .coms or really really good dictionary .nets / .orgs.

Registering obscure ccTLD's with high renewals has most often ended a lot of domainers startups. It isn't easy to sell these and that's the reason why they are still available. The only people who can do something with these are the developers, and they too would need to market and brand it, which means more high investments. Not worth the trouble in my opinion.

That being said, the domain name in itself is a novelty, you might find a reseller who might fancy that in their portfolio.

As for end users, again you would need to brand the name. Probably make a mini site demonstrating the usability of the name. But again, you never know with end users, someone just might get interested to pay an interesting ROI on it. For me its more hassle than benefit.

Sorry for the negative comments, just being honest about what I've seen happening.
I would say mid xx for the inspired reseller.

Thanks for the comments. My perception is that the domain does have low reseller value because "vc" is by no means in hot-seat from domainers' perspectives, but I still think there are certain organizations that would want this name because it is (1) really easy to remember, and (2) expresses their mission perfectly. I'm going to contact the IVA first and will keep you guys posted if any big offers come up; my gut feeling is that it'll sell for at least $500. We'll see.
