What types of offers a domain has gotten on sedo? I mean someone elses domain name. I see that video.biz has gotten 23 offers and since I have video.hn i would like to know what type of offers video.biz is/was getting.

I dont think there is any way to see what the offers are,

also i believe each offer and each counter offer is counted seperately so if i offer you 100 for video.hn then you counter at 1000 then i offer 400 that would count as 2 offers i believe.

so they may have a few poeple offering and counter offering etc.. so there is no real way to tell how many people actually are offereing.

hope that helps or at least makes sense.

unfortunately what you really want to know is the highest price offered and rejected.
you cannot obtain this info. I would guess that the owner is hoping for an offer ~ $1000. It would be a lot lot more if .com or .net. The .biz extension is generic, but .hn = honduras so you would not be comparing like with like.

Yeah! I was looking for comparison. :(

I saw a post on DNF that said! something like the extension doesn't matter what matters is the keyword.

How much truth does that statement have?

Extension does matter, I bet video.hn won't be even quarter of video.com so it shows extension has influence on sales but if keyword is good with new extensions there is quite good chance to get some good (not huge) money with it.

Also, I believe anyone can bid on their own items from other e-mail accounts and drive up the "Offers" and make the domain look good...

Afternic has it right with how they let people submit offers.

This is true. When looking at the number of offers keep in mind that they all could be from one person or multiple and there is no way of telling. A domain could look hot with 10 offers but it could be all from one person.

I will also add and experience that happened to me once where a buyer actually reduced his offer after a few days!!!! So buyers are allowed to change their minds. Not sure if Sedo allows sellers to do the same.

video.hn s a cool name, only downside being .hn costs around $150 per annum to renew. Thats lil expensive.

I think is well worth it with how strong the keyword "video" and it's overture of over 1,000,000 just for "video" and not mentioning "music videos" and so on...

With good SEO this domain would be right up there in the top 10 in search engines.
