Is there a good or bad time of year to sell domains? For example, are we getting into a slow time with holidays or doesn't it seem to matter much?

I had an auction where I was selling a domain. There was only one bidder who bid a dollar. And I was bidding in another auction and I was the only bidder. I think at times like this when there is a lot going on that people are not buying as much. It may depend on the kind of domains that are being sold also.

Spend a lot of money -> lower taxes

So demand should go up at the end of the year, assuming businesses in general are making profit.

Well i was told by some friends this time around the the bid amounts would drop becoz of the holiday season and later the taxation.

And come Jan-Feb the bid amounts would go up again. but this time round i think because of the LLLL domains dissapearing, the demand for them is bringing about good sales.

If you get paid in euros (or gbp or else) now is a good time to buy domains with the weak dollar :hehe:

Even here in my country, dollar is getting weaker :)

IMHO, people spend more on gifts than domain name during this season (thanksgiving, xmas)

I've seen a bunch of underrated sales/ buyer's getting great bargains, which tells me its a buyer's market now. Its usually a seller's market when you're dealing with great names.
