Is Stargate really sold to uk2.net?

Hello everyone.

Got an email that reads on the first line like this:

"I am writing to let you know that the Domain customers of Stargate Inc. were recently purchased by the UK-2 Group, as a result of Stargate Inc. deciding to focus on Data Center and Dedicated Hosting services."

It comes from Ditlev Bredahl with an email address under the domain uk2.net.
Can someone verify this? I don't know if this is true. It should have been Stargate who should write its clients about the sale and not uk2.net. What do you think?

EDIT: I noticed that indeed UK2.net has taken over Stargate's domain name business while Stargate concentrates on hosting. Our problem now is that we cannot seem to login at Stargate's Registrar panel.

I got the same email. It seems genuine.

UK2 had transfer out penalty charges last time I used them (oddly they didn't apply them to domains over 2 years old, but never stated that anywhere).

I have been assured that they won't be introducing transfer out fees - the pricing structure will remain - but it IMV it'll only remain until they decide to change it.

In the short term I don't expect to see any change.

Ok. Support seems to be find at UK2.net. We are able to login now with their help.

I received the same e-mail.. few days ago.. and it seems legit.. checked stargate reseller page today, and it has UK2 logo instead of stargate.

looks like UK2 bringing stargate domain platform into a domain taster registrar.
I saw some domain caught by them, like hhuv.com for tasting.

Let's see, they soon probably launching their own domain names marketplace.
