Is .org.in a worthy investment? I have a good search term (two word) with 12,000 searches in India and a cpc bid of $2.30 (110,000 $3.49 worldwide) in mind that's available for reg. Is it a wise decision? It could potentially be very non-profit based, so I'm thinking the .org thing wouldn't be bad.

No one can tell you without knowing the domain.

I own a .org that's easily worth 5-figures.

It all depends.

It depends on the name

.org .in , is a subdomain of .in

it's not like the tld .org and you could loose traffic to one.

Prior to the launch of the new TLDs I did OK with .ORG as it was never a focus - just an occasional acquisition when I saw an awesome keyword that fit the extension (nonprofit). I even sold a Spanish hand reg .ORG for nearly $1000 via Godaddy Premium Listings. However, with all the new extensions floating around I believe it is best to focus on short .COMs. Industry turnover was about 1% annually prior to the launch of new TLDs. I am afraid more extensions will not improve cash flow for the average domain investor.

If we are talking about .org.in, no I don't think it's a good investment, at least for domaining purposes. You should stick to .in and possibly maybe .co.in.
