Of course names are purchased and sometimes sold for less the second time around, others just drop. Since there are more .coms registered than any other extension, it happens with .com more than any other extension.

.Com also continues to be the lion share of sales for domain investors. This thread hopes to give a balanced choice for members to vote as opposed to another poll where the answers are slanted in one direction.

2015 - 2016 was the peak for .com.
Of course .com will continue to have liquid market, but there will be more competition from GTLDs. So it's wise to diversify the investments.
