Is it legal to use auto-pilot scripts?

Hi Guys,

I am newbie and have noticed that lot of developers use auto-pilot scripts which generate website/blog content automatically using RSS feed from other publishers.

Now, Is that legal? Is that legal to publish someone else's RSS feed onto your blog as such? Wouldn't that be a copyright infringement?

Please advise.

these sites needs eyeballs to their news that's why they share their content all over the internet but rss merely links to the content itself.

But I still not got my answer. If you have noticed there lot of developers who use auto-pilot Plugins or scripts, to auto-build their website. They dont have to post any fresh new content on their website by themselves. Its the autopilot scripts which read other people's RSS feeds and post this content to your site. But doing this you actually stealing some one's blog or article and publishing it on your site without authors consent.

So, I am trying to understand if by publishing RSS, does author giveup his copyrights? Can you publish the RSS feed content on your site without any backlink ( or with backlink) ? Can the original author come after you in above situation claiming his copyright?

Any veterans, please jump in.

rss links are made so contents can be shared freely and easily over the internet, it won't work without a backlink of course.
it's punishable by google for duplicate content but since it's put there by authors themselves for a reason it's legal to use as long as you backlink to the original content that's the purpose of the authors themselves as well to gain backlinks.

The automated Unique Article plugin (for Wordpress) let's the author himself post his article (it's should be an unique article that he changed via some script). No copyright infrigement.
