Hi,

So i have learned something probably on namepros that when i talk to people specially americans or europeans because i am indian so i feel they are not understanding me is it because of language bar ? and the way we understand in our native language ?

Because the more easier we understand in our native language we never understand better in other languages, its true but i know english very well and i am educated, i have done graduation. But i felt somewhere that when i say something to people on the web they understand me to something else rather if i tell them something in my native language they understand me very well.

What can be the reason ?

Is it because of culture ? or society ? or just the language ?

Hello Reu.

Your English is okay, but it is not great.

I imagine that when you are explaining something in English it may be confusing to the reader.

For example:
"i have done graduation" -> "I have graduated from university"
"more easier" -> "easier"

It is great that you know multiple languages, but keep practicing your English and you will eventually perfect your communications.

ohhh ok, you know when we try to tell something we write something and others think and understand it as something.

thanks domainvip for correction and suggestion.

Your communication skills(in English) would get 5/10, same goes for me. But you need to work hard on sentence framing. Write it, Read it, Proof read it again & then post it. Might help you a bit.

Understandable statements but problem in sentence framing. (just my opinion.)

I think that the misunderstandings are going both ways. Meaning that perhaps we don't always understand everything you say and you don't always understand everything we say. As other have said, your English is ok. Yes, it's not perfect but everyone here will word things incorrectly from time to time.

Just for the record, there are lots of other Indian members here and they don't seem to have any problems communicating and understanding. I think once you have spent more time around this site you will understand better and people will understand you better. I haven't seen anyone else have much of a problem, as far as Indian members. From my experience, a lot of Indian members actually use their English grammar better than many others.

P.S. After doing a quick Alexa check just for the heck of it I see that just about 30% of NamePros traffic is from India.
