Investment dot org sold for ONLY $16k

Is it just me or did someone make out with a $500k domain for really good bargain?

How much do you think this domain is worth? I honestly believe it's worth a minimum of $500k but could go for even as much as 7 figures.

I mean $16K?? Even Lending.club sold for $25k last week lol...

$16k sounds about right for reseller. Maybe a little more to end-user.
But then again I don´t like .org

quite certain i'll get x,xxx out of bestinvestment. not certain that it will be this calendar year but considering my price of admission it doesn't matter as much when the show starts.

I think it's the best variant of the word (over invest.org (in some cases), investments.org, etc.,). "Investment" is more concrete/absolute, and so generic it could apply to anything on a .org. An investment isn't limited to only the financial. If you put your time into anything, than it's an investment.

It was an undersell if were going to compare it to other higher dollar .org sales per quality, granted that's up to debate. If it were investments.org, I'd say take what you could get. .Org's are sleepers, even if I think they're more future proof than most.

I wouldn't expect an incredible return, even far out into the future. It doesn't belong on a .org, and "best investment" comes off as more of a financial chop shop, regardless of the extension it's on (but compounded on a .org). Best Invest is brandable, but still not the best of names. I wouldn't let the sale of investment.org play into the pricing of your name. If the plural is available in yours, I'd think you would have a better shot w/ that albeit; not by much.

well, considering that i am basically retired on a small tropical island already, i am not looking for this one domain to help me retire to a small tropical island. 4,400 exact matches per month at over 5usd per click means the expired domain cost plus hosting will be paid for in short order. whether or not is the best investment will be open for debate, the profitability of the venture not really.

Yes, should have sold for more. Strong word and brand, imo works for a .org domain.

Seems slightly low, but this exactly the type of .org that the nGTLDs being out might actually hurt in terms value. Something like Investment.club doesn't seem much worse, if any? And this is coming from someone who doesn't currently own a single nGTLD.

500,000? Are you serious? I agree with the others who said the price is quite ok. It really doesnt fit the extension for a large or medium company. On the other hand, this name even in .org could have some direct type in traffic, so I can see the name as itself being fwded to large investment company. From my experiences the .org is in 60% for a non profit, 15% for lawyers, health and education, 10% for rehab, 7% for donations and 8% for blogs, insurance, mortgage, reviews, calculators and rates. From my experiences there is absolute 0 for hedge funds, trading, stocks, real estate and financial instruments.

I thought the same thing, really low. I sold investments.org in 07 for 12k and that was a bit low at the time
