Question - Value of dot net

Question , I sold a 15 letter dot com domain for $5,000 private sale and i also hold the same name with the dot net extension , how much do you think dot net is worth ?

Or is it the same old story , a domain is worth what someone is willing to pay for it , any thoughts will be welcome .

It would depend on the name. A lot of people go out and register the .net version of a .com that fetches a high sale figure, but ends up dropping it once it expires.

The domain is parked atm and not sure what he wants to do with the name .
