dot Net vs dot Org?

For the sake of this debate, let me just say that I own the dot net and dot org versions of this domain. The dot com is owned by a large company that has owned it for years and isn't looking to sell it. It looks like it would take in the $xx,xxx range to acquire it, which it would not be worth that much to me.

Which would you use as your primary domain? Dot Net or Dot Org? Lets say for example that you are going to be using it as a site to manage and host your domain portfolio (and also as an e-mail address for WHOIS). May eventually become a business. If the business is successful, obviously I would then go after the dot com, but for now getting the dot com isn't possible.

Thanks to anyone that takes the time to share their thoughts!

.net kinda sucks for stuff other than asian and hosting etc. I believe that is the extension with the biggest traffic leak to .com

.org sucks for stuff that can't be associated with a group idea. Product, service, activities etc. names work as long as they can represent a group.

So in answer to the thread question, it ain't that easy a choice without know the name. One is no better or worse an extension just flat out without application.

I'd take .net, I just can't imagine using .org for anything other than non-profit organisation...
can't believe those people who would choose .org over .net for business...

If it's business related, I would use .net.
