infected HardDrive is not displaying folders - folders empty?
my friends hard drive got infected and im trying to fix it, why are the files missing? The OS is Windows XP - my computer is running Windows 7 - anyone here can help out?

i used malwarebytes and avast and it cleaned the trojans, but i still cant load windows xp through boot or access the hd in windows 7, it displays the hard drive but when i explore the drive it displays 0 folders, even though their are files in it. for example, if i type c:\windows it displays the folder, but if i just type c:\ then it says folder is empty,
