Some would likely say yes but most including myself would say NO. Reason is .mobi is a future domain extension, it is not for todays mobile phone. In the future we will have voice command, touch screens, ect. So I would not bother with numbers for .mobi. :hi:FPForum said:I'm still a little new to the .mobi world..I'm curious if high traffic domains like myspace (6977223 on your celluar keypad) have any type of value? Could these types of domains see lots of traffic since many people will be typing them on their phones??
Think about it this way, in your example above is it easyer to remember "6977223" or "myspace"? Trust me NO ONE will remember "6977223", they will remember "911" or "000" but anything with 4+ digits forget it in my opinion, all the best thoughFPForum said:I'm noticing more and more people talking about getting digit domains thinking people will be typing the digits into their cellphones
Yeah good points I hadnt' thought about it like thatmaxwellsmart said:The point of using numbers on the keypad is that users do not need to remember the numbers. They can look at the keypad, set it to numerical and type out "MYSPACE" as a 7 digit number.
It's no big deal, people a quite good at calling 1-800-FLOWERS.
The bottom line is no one knows what will develop in the .mobi world. Maybe this shortcut method will become a thing and maybe it won't. But I can tell you that many people are taking a shot at it. Many major keyword numerical equivalents were gone at landrush, ie: email, movie, video, music, hotel. Also many major website numbers were also taken quickly ie: ebay, myspace, google.
I certainly do not claim to know the future, but for an investment of reg fee,
it's not a big risk.
