.in market - Sleeping giant?

India is well on its way to becoming one of the world's largest economies in the next decade: economic growth in 2007 is expected to be nearly 10%, the largest of any major market (yes, including China) and internet/eCommerce growth is certain to follow. That being said, what are everyone's thoughts on the future of .in for '07 (and where does .co.in fit into the picture?) Cheers!

I do not think that the ccTLD will come to rise this year or even next year. However if India continues to prosper the TLD will be very valuable in te years to come.

I think this extension will be over shadowed by the .Asia extensions releasing next year. I have lot of those domains, but am unsure what kind of price or publicity it will gain.

.asia will have zero impact on .co.in/.in - why on earth would they want to use such an extension when their own is well developed and accepted.

It is a massive giant waiting to burst on the scene - I have personally turned down offers totalling well in to mid $xx,xxx for various names .co.in/.in (About 10 in total).

Currently I have a 3 letter .in "reserve met" at $2000 at Sedo auction. :)

Go to Google News and search for "India's Economy":

Record 9.0% growth in the first six months of the year, and on course for better in the 2nd half. Service sector up by over 13%, manufacturing by 11.9%. All are records for India. Overall growth is equal to China and more than twice the U.S.
Got to be a good market to invest in, right?

One downside is that .com is still more popular than .in and .co.in in India but that may change soon.

Wot: Yours is mwv.in? Best of luck.

I think that once the LLL market is all bought up and the India economy continues to grow you will see value out of your names.

What kind of domains are those, like adult or non adult?

None are available. All were gone long ago when the extension was launched.

I have fuc.in and 899.in . Wish I could sell those too.
