.tv immobilier.tv dropping tomorrow?

I see that immobilier.tv is dropping tomorrow - anyone know the previous owner and why they let this "gem" drop?

Because for 6 years he tried marketing it to hundreds of companies and no one had any interest?

If it was as much of a "gem" as people think I'd assume there were offers at Sedo. If those were ignored I'd go with (a) Rich and (b) Dead.

I think it's more likely that offers = 0.

Even though is definitely a premium term I am not so sure about the extension BUT it can still be flipped for a decent amount I should think

The market for French domains is weaker too.

it is repriced at about $1100 by verisign (so name.com bo is about $1300), and as there is no competition at premiums drops but monopoly of name.com, whoever has the bo there will have it tomorrow

The number of offers a name rcvs isnt necessarily a good benchmark of value. Even million dollar .com's might not get a single legit (no BSr/loballer) inquiry for 10 years or more.

Most companies arnt looking to buy a domain no matter how good. I gave up promoting names for sale long ago, just not worth my time and effort. If they arnt coming to you first then they are tough to sell. And if its that way for .com how much harder for a .tv??

The name is superb and I would personally value it in the high XX,XXX... I guess we will never know why he dropped it, but he is either brain dead or ??

Best of luck, but I think name.com back orders will beat you to it as it will be repriced as a premium and they hold the keys to the safe.

I totally agree with you Finster, times are hard and even harder selling domain names I have one rule if is not a .com I don't bother chasing end users.

The back order is for the name if it should drop NEXT year. The name was already picked up by someone this year.

Or so I presume (it is picked up this year, of that I am certain)
