Apologies if this has been asked a million times... I'm too lazy/stupid to use "search". Feel free to ignore or flame as you see fit
So I'm completely new to this domaining business. I thought I'd test a few things out - I'm not expecting to get rich overnight.
I registered the following five domains:
makemoneygoogle.com makemoneygoogleadsense.com
makingmoneygoogle.com
howtomakemoneygoogle.com
makingmoneygoogleadsense.com
They all foward to a ClickBank pitch page for Google Nemesis, with my affiliate link. (Forwarding has been set but hasn't taken effect at the time of this posting... not sure how long it takes)
My quick research using the AdWords keyword tool tells me that these terms are often searched for.
My plan is to try and get "type in traffic" from internet newbies who type searches into the address bar instead of the search box.
In the "old days", if you typed words into your address bar, the browser would first try and resolve the text as a URL.
But I just tried this in Firefox (3) and Internet Explorer (7) and I'm taken straight to the search page.
Does you have any experience of this technique and whether it works?
If I don't make a single sale, I've lost a whopping $40. Even if I make one sale I will have recouped my investment. And I presume the domains have a resale value, too.
