I've actually never used Sedo before. :tri: Sorry if I come off sounding like an idiot...

I just bought a domain name on a Sedo auction. I had registered for a free account and placed a winning bid. Afterwards I sent my payment via the Sedo link. It took a few hours, but it went through and now it's showing I have no outstanding balances. However, I found out afterwards Sedo isn't a registrar and will not hold my domain name. Do I wait for the WhoIs to change in a few days and then transfer it over to my own registrar? I'm not accustomed to this setup.

you'll have to wait for the seller to unlock the domain and give sedo the epp code. sedo will then give this code to you and you can transfer the domain.

If you look at the WHOIS you will see the current registar. If it is one of the popular one's ie Godaddy, Namecheap, Enom etc, it would probably be better to create an account at that registrar so that the domain can be pushed to you once sedo has control of it.
This will be a lot quicker than waiting for the domain to be transferred to another registrar.
P.S. You do not have to have a domain at the registrar to create an account and it is free!
