Hi Guys,

I'm very new to domaining, and got a bit over excited over the last couple of weeks and hand registered about 30 domain names. Now that I have calmed down and done some reading it's clear that I have made a classic school boy error. I can afford to lose the money if I have registered nothing but stinkers, but was wondering, do stinkers sell if they are cheap enough?

My thinking is to just try and dump them for what I paid if they are no good, failing that I will just let them expire and call it an expensive lesson. I am glad I stumbled across this place, I might have carried on buying without seeking advice lol.

cheers,

Fin

If you don't get any better offers, I'll give you $10 for frivoling.com - I won't resell it, but I think I could use it as a political site.

I'd need to move it to NameSilo (I'd pay the transfer ), or GD as a second choice. We need to work out a way to pay you as well, as I refuse to support PayPal.

AlarmFitters.com is a good reg IMO, maybe because I'm from the UK but I have searched for an "alarm fitter" before, that is an actual job title we use over here and it is also brandable for someone using that who specialises in fitting alarms. I don't think big money but that is the sort of domain I have sold for low to mid $xxx many times before. I would keep that one for sure.

Hi Kuffy,

Thanks for the offer, I have some time before I have to sell anything, will be mid july before my 60 days are up.

Found all of this three domain potential, the first could be sold to a writer which has written book named Doomware

Wow thanks for that! what a happy coincidence!

Thanks Dave, my neighbour got robbed, which gave me the idea for that one, so every cloud eh lol. Good to see another Brit on the forum!

Its not coincidence! The word Doom has a great potential in Gaming/Technology related niche.

I was worried I had stumbled onto a TM, but I think it's ok. Thanks for your help!

1 and 1 might be the problem. It used to be impossible to transfer names away from them. I'd be interested to know if they have opened up their transfer policy.
They have afaik. I'll try to confirm later today as I'm planning to transfer 2 domains from there. I can confirm for sure that I have transferred previously (last year) without any issues

Thanks for the quick response Kuffy,

I registered them with 1and1, I wont be able to sell them for another month or so because of the 60 day thing. I'm happy to share some of the names here, wasn't sure if that was aloud or not, here are a few I think were mistakes.

alarmfitters.com

blockbrite.com
blocktrek.com
blockwit.com
bithush.com
bithush.net
coinfud.net
coinfud.com
(trying to jump on the bitcoin/blockchain bandwagon there)

comicart.co
comicsread.com
doomware.com
doomfix.net
doomfix.com

datecosy.com
frivoling.com
these two have alternate spellings, so people might type in the wrong version.
fudlr.com
khirk.com
(I thought short was good? but estibot says no)
nought260.com
naturalherbaltearemedies.com
orcmischief.com
yachtfunctions.com

That will give you an idea of the standard lol deep down I'm hoping someone will tell me there is a gold nugget in there.

Thanks,

Fin

I think some domains are decent and might sell.. At least for $xx

yeah i second this. I think alarm fitter is a solid name and like my fellow NPers have said, your list is not as bad as you taught. We have seen much much worse on this forum.
