Just about anything with PartyPoker in it faces TM issues. I'm pretty sure they wouldn't like this one either...perhaps if you did IWonAtPartyPoker.com instead...

No one would want to buy that name, and unless developed it would get no traffic, so it's basically worthless unless you develop, and of course if you do develop, there's more of a chance of PartyPoker getting peeved about the name and contacting you. Good luck though!

Actually, I'm not sure if PartyPoker is TM'd? Too common of words? A bad publicity site asking for donations. Thats why I asked about TM issues. Donations being excepted with their name in the domain???

OK so you want to make it into a site showcasing youself as the looser and you want people to donate toward you loosing streak cause? Not gonna fly IMO.

I think it would be better as a forum or something where people can chat about there losses and perhaps have a special begging area where everyone can post there "sad sad stories" asking for help.

There's a fine line between freedom of speech and infringing upon a TM. If you want to walk that line, go right ahead. All I'm saying is that don't be surprised if they call you or send you a C&D or whatever, and if you'd then want to spend $200/hr on a lawyer to try and fight back, who knows. In a world where a company sues Google because they were relying on Google for incoming visitors and their Google SERPs inexplicably dropped, ANYTHING is possible.

You can say whatever you want. You just can't try to make money off someone's TM. Your freedoms only go to the point that they infringe on someone else's (or at least that's the way it's supposed to work).

Besides, I don't know many people who have the disposable income to donate cash to someone who admits to blowing it on gambling.

Now I like that idea - that might actually work. You could have people sign thier names and how much they lost, then you could put the equivalent of something they could have purchased with that money.

Why not just put a page about how your a big loser and lost all your cash at PP then have a big PP afiliate banner with 'AND NOW YOU CAN BE A LOSER TOO!'. I'm sure PP would have no problem with any thoughts of TM issues as it directly benefits them. Not sure about PP's attitude to this put I know Pacfic Poker have no problem with it. They just ask you show them when it's up so they can make sure it's not harming them.

Well...TM issues definitely are a reason to stear clear from anything except perhaps forwarding it to ILostAtParty.com which is AVAILABLE! This unregistered domain name works because of two factors - 1. People often refer to online poker sites as their name not tied to poker in the title, i.e. - Paradise, Stars, Pacific, Absolute & Party. 2. Trademark issues, I see no problems here! (NP Kick from whoever snags it would be awesome) %%-

There is no chance on earth that PP would allow this if this awful idea actually built up any kind of following.

Of course they do, but making it known can infer that they lost more there than other sites, or that it was unfair in someway.

You stand a 2% chance of getting some traffic, and if you make that then you may be sued, or certainly have your site taken away. PP is not your phrase to play with.

Take a look at some of WIPO cases. Everything from paTRypoker.com, partypoker.org, partypoker.tv, partypokeronline.com...Partypoker has won EVERY single one of their cases and you too will eventually have to hand the domain to them...building a site with a TM domain is a complete waste of time..
