advice If you have seen a major drop in parking revenue read this

You will be shocked how many parking pages show a blank if the user has adblock. Over 200 mil users use adblock and even large media companies are seeing a major problem with that.

So get the adblock plugin and test your parking pages

The companies can easily fix this

I dont see your point to keep up posting this kind of threads. There are still plenty of users without ads blocker. If somebody would like to have ads blocked I see no point in showing them ads on a parked page.

You don't see a problem with adblockers, maybe explain that to the largest publishers out there as they do see a problem with it including FB and others.

Parking pages are the least intrusive type of ads, they are not heavy graphics and auto play video ads etc.

You don't see my point? Who are you to have to see my point exactly? I am addressing an issue that is causing people with good domains that get typins or other traffic to lose a ton of money. Obviously if you have shit domains you should not even bother parking your pages.

The companies who offer parking revenue can change a small thing and it will help their users financially.

As far as I can see, your posts are left empty, as I can see no support from other members. I am still getting my good XX USD clicks and havent noticed any decline in the past months. I just dont see point of ad blocker, if it doesnt block 100% of the ads. Who are you to judge which ads are the least disturbing anyway???

Adsense and Adwords show up with my adblock running these days. Considering most parking companies use their ad feed, you'd think they would have included parking feeds in the deal too.

At a guess I'd say parking revenue isn't enough for Google to care. It's Google you need to lobby and not the parking companies, sure they can change their code but then one update from adblocking providers and it's back to square one.

You seem to take it very personal.

Let's recap

I post a fact that some of the more popular parking systems show up as blank pages if users have adblock installed

I post a fact that hundreds of millions of internet users use adblock

You show up and take offense that I point out these facts. When in fact you should be happy that someone is bringing it to the attention of companies so they can fix the problem and get their parking pages to show ads.

I do not own an adblock company, I do own sites that are showing up as blanks for people with adblock.

So if anyone wants to know how their sites show up for me, I can do screenshots and see if any parking companies are better than others.

When I had Comodo Firewall installed and was using their DNS they would block access to parked pages.

hi-i need some help with this. before i take the time to change nameservers to sedo's-i could swear the last time i had some names parked with sedo-when i checked them-and i used mozilla-they would resolve to a blank page. then i would use chrome-and i could see the parked page with content. i dont have any ad-blocker software installed on my computer. i checked mozilla settings and the only thing that is enabled is 'block pop ups'. has anyone else had this experience? thanks

Sorry, my tone is sometimes bad even at the times, I do not want to use it as such. I just think that if the PC are allowed to change the code to show the ads on parked pages, they would already do so. But actually I am not an expert, I just see in my ubuntu if I dont install the updates in real time the parking pages go blank and Ive never installed ad blocker.

A few months ago I had came up with an idea of selling "a text link area at the top of the pages" directly to the interested advertisers (This will replace the "Buy This Domain" links. A new page will open when a user clicks this link and he/she will be directed to the advertiser's site. Google ads will keep on showing on the main page.). I think parking companies should gather and lobby for this at Tier1 feed providers since we are handing in our valuable digital assets (domains) to the mercy of the "Tier1 feed providers" but they are being blocked leaving us without the proceeds.

A parking company can run a marketplace for such a business plan and the advertisers can purchase those "text link" areas. In return the parking company can also make additional bucks by charging commission out of this transaction from the domain owner.

I think this adblock crisis can be used to develop such a new business plan....

@decades80 actually has a point (despite presented in a bit aggressive manner, it's still a valid point). Afaik ,you *did* create two threads with the same subject, it's only normal for some people to question that.

regarding adblocks,
Adblocking is not news, adblocks exist for years now (I personally use noscript since... forever)

The latest drop in traffic has nothing to do with adblocking. I know of what you speak but the news is not the adblocks themselves rather than the industry deciding to do something about it.. *that's* the news.

I strongly believe that there is something else happening since the drop in revenue -in the 2+ years I do parking- happened both times around Mar-Apr.
The problem though is not the 'seasonal' drop. The problem is that this drop is not temporary , it actually stays that way for the rest of the year and next year we see again another drop... :/

I spend hours analyzing the stats I get from above.com and there *is* actually a pattern with some parking services. All I can say though is that voodoo -despite not being my best performer- is the only absolutely stable parking service I have ever used. There are drops -sure- but they always come back and stabilize.

Just a final note,
when I read that someone has an idea that will give money to people, for some reason I get cautious.. no idea why.
