Domain Parking Apocalypse - 95% drop in past year

I have domains parked with several parking providers - Bodis, Sedo, ParkingCrew.
Over the past year my revenue is down an estimated 70% due to the changes to Google Parking.
Then in the past 1-2 weeks parking revenue at those 3 companies has collapsed - down another 80% just in 2 weeks.
So my parking revenue is down about 95% in the past year on mostly type-in generic quality traffic.
Is everyone else seeing similar declines?
At this pace only a few of the best domains are even worth parking.
Parking really picked up during the pandemic - 2020 and 2021. It has been declining for a few years now but September 2025 seems to be the month where domain parking has died.

Domain parking will exist as long as there is internet, that is not the issue here

The problem here is the fact that the industry allowed Google to become the monopoly it is and now they do whatever they want

Most, if not all, portfolio RPMs are down over 95% over the past 12 to 24 months. Parking is effectively dead unless this reverts.

Time to adapt

Most of my landers are buy now/lease to own, but if yours are PPC, maybe itโ€™s time to find landers that let you put your own affiliate links up and find some affiliate programs or networks that are cool with that.

We have a dead affiliate marketing section in this forum, maybe that should liven up. It might be a little bit more effort, but you can make a lot more money.

I am self employed and thankfully couple years ago I foreseen this as something not sustainable when you have parking companies that can determine how much they can take away from your pay and you have no control over that. I have stopped buying more domains during pandemic and pivoted to traditional stock market. This will hurt but at least I have some money invested in the market that's producing income. I have parked 15+ years, this is just sad.

15yr of parking I'm sure made u good saving so good.on u to put that into other investment. I guess stock is ok. so is gold. so is some crypto. well so are nice pricier names but then u tie up money x time waiting on buyer

did u drop all your rev names or keep renewing? what was your scale of parking 1000 names and 6fig a month ?
u sound like a park pro with 15yr

I switched from parking to BIN landers a couple years ago, before all the drama. The increase in sales covered my parking losses and then some, and then some more. It's for the best. The only net negative (for the Internet users) is that typo domains now moved from generic ads to promoting scams, a.k.a. "zero click parking". Then again, with AI now being tightly integrated into browsers, typo traffic will probably vanish soon.

That's a good idea to offset parking losses by making gains in the stock market.
Maybe we should short stocks like Godaddy, Tucows, Verisign. I'm sure registrar income will suffer without parking and will lead to lower registrations. All 3 of those stocks are down about 3% today and probably continue sliding downward.

Hi

they get to see all the names using their NS, especially those that get traffic and still earn revenue.

I haven't used domain parking because I think most visitors leave the landing page as soon as they see ads. Only a small percentage actually click on them, so the revenue is usually very low. Even if traffic is high, the bounce rate is extremely high and earnings are rarely significant. Thatโ€™s why Iโ€™m surprised that some people make $xxx-$xxxx per month just from ads. Itโ€™s probably because their domains get a lot of traffic. Maybe I should have tried parking a few quite valuable domains these months/years before selling them but now I guess itโ€™s probably too late...

parking is or was an art

to make 4 or 5 or 6fig a month I had to spend years learning and chasing best names

like selling also takes years to learn

and everything else on life where u want make money

now I'm not sure what those top earners make

I assume 90% plus drop is for all

looks like few day ago bodis relaxed bots as my visits jumped 3 times from avg 300 a day to about 1000 now

desperaton starting kick in

I dont care I only use inquiry no ads there... so just saying it

Also panda switching many more names to zero.click... so if u need your sale banner as most do u wil need to disable zero click completely

Highly doubt most here have the skills to make this work.
