If only I could register a .travel

Encirca are accepting orders for .travel. I would love to have a .travel. I could put all my holiday photos from trips around the world on my personal .travel website. Unfortunately, I am not eligible to apply for one. Anyone know how I could get my own .travel?

Unless setting up a travel agent company :p , you cannot register .travel at present.

I dont think .travel is going to be a very big thing. Travel agencies can only register them at the moment.

why should you get .travel for your personal site? That is why they created .name, so you could make your personal site there

i wouldnt mind my own .travel xD it looks cool. but it is alot longer than the other domains.

They also have setup "reserved words". Try registering any city or state .travel and you'll see what I mean.

The same thing holds true for their .jobs. I wonder who their holding out the city/state domains for?

You can try http://new.net where you can reg any "new" tld's. The thing is that regular people can't access the domains because they aren't official or Icann approved, so you need to install special software to access the alternative root providers.
