How to Develop Travel Domains

Hi,

I own 7 Travel domain :www.goto Majorca.com, www.gotoMumbai.com, www.gotoAlgarve.com, got......com...etc

My Plan was to develop Travel related websites on each domain with information on all activities available in each location for a holiday. I hope to incorperate a Travel Affiliate into the design with a direct path to booking holidays in this location through a decent Travel Affiliate (i havent found a Travel Affiliate im happy with yet)
I also hoped to incorperate Google Adsense/Yahoo Publisher ads into the website to help raise some extra cash.

I thought if i provided Links to each of my other Travel domains then each website could help gain traffic for the other.

I am still in the planning research stage but want to get at least a few of the websites going before summer. Doing these sites is taking me longer to plan than my other websites as i have never owned Travel websites, i have only ever owned/built/managed Soccer Gambling sites before so im feeling a little apprehensive.

Does this sound like the best plan to you guys? Anyone have any better ideas for these domains or does anyone have any experience with travel websites that could be shared.

The best thing would be to research all availiable tourist destinations for one of the sites
then get a decent travel agent from the area or alternatively include a list of hotels and everything on your site and selecting the destination and time should bring up availiable hotels/ resorts/ airlines ect
these would include buttons to dook directly from their site
Also very important find or get someone to make flash tours of the destinations so your visitors can know exactly where they are going

Yeah im spending plenty of time doing research on each area. Im gonna concentrate on 1 site at a time, think im going to try and do www.gotoMajorca.com 1st as i know most about this area so i may be able to do things quicker.

I was going to design the sites myself, i do have limited knowledge as i've only learned html by teaching myself over past year. I have manage to build a few decent websites so far but these travel websites are a bit more adventerous for me.

If anyone owns or has designed any Travle websites then id love some advice or benefit of experience.

Annual Events

If I might offer a suggestion... most cities/areas have a big annual event of some type and if you start by detailing those events you can start to set yourself apart from the big mainstream travel sites.

Just to make up an example let's say Majorca has a big street festival. By creating a page or two about that you will probably get some traffic from people looking for 'majorca street festival' whereas someone looking for 'majorca hotel' will likely end up at a larger travel site.
